About Me:

I live in a small country town called Grenfell, on the South Western Slopes of NSW. Australia. See Map .   Prior to moving to  Grenfell, I lived in Kurri Kurri / Abermain (Hunter Valley) NSW, which is the Murals Captial of Australia. This area is also known for it’s Coal Mines  & Vineyards.

Well, I’m a proud mother of 3 great children, and a lucky grandmother to 8 beautiful grandchildren, 4 girls & 4 boys.

Over the years I have volunteer to teach the Kurri Kurri  Seniors about Computers and some of the wonderful Programs that are available for diffenret projects that they could do with them. Arranging from the standard software that comes with the computers to the more interesting type. eg: Paint Shop Pro & etc.

I’m a lover of most things and a hater of very few. I see good in all things, no matter what it is.

Severe Drought:

Severe DroughtWorst Drought in 100 Years.
At present parts of Australia are in a very severe drought, some say it the worst drought in 100 years. All I know, many parts of the country are on water restrictions  with major water suppliers at low to very low levels. The hardest hit are the farmers - property owners, who need to buy water to water they stock and fields. Many property owners have been hand feeding they stock for up to 8 year now, as this isn’t the only year they have been in drought.

Grenfell (Map) lies at the intersection of the Mid Western Hwy and the Henry Lawson Way. The town is nestled in a small valley, with the main street being host to many historic buildings dating back to the 1860’s.

The town hosts the Grenfell Museum, Henry Lawson Park and to the north lies the Weddin Mountains National Park, which is famous for the Ben Hall Caves, of which Ben Hall and his gang used as a shelter and a hiding place. Henry Lawson

Grenfell is also the birth place of Henry Lawson . Australia’s best known poet and storyteller.
